Settlers burn vehicle, land and house near Jenin |


Illegal Israeli settlers attacked citizens' homes and destroyed their property near the city of Jenin in the northern occupied West Bank on Thursday.

On Thursday afternoon, dozens of Israeli settlers set fire to a vehicle belonging to a Palestinian in the village of Al-Fandaqumiya, southwest of Jenin in the northern West Bank.

Saqr Qarariya, Fatah secretary in Al-Fandaqumiya, told WAFA that about 40 illegal settlers attacked the homes and properties of Palestinian citizens.

Qarariya added that the settlers burned large areas of land planted with olive and fruit trees, a house and a vehicle belonging to citizen Muayyad Hussein Qarariya.

Furthermore, he said that the settlers attacked the adjacent house belonging to citizen Nader Tayseer Qarariya, threw stones and opened fire with live ammunition towards the house.

Israeli forces arriving at the scene fired tear gas canisters at Palestinian victims of the attack, attempting to defend their property.

In the town of Silat Ad-Dhahr, southwest of the city, settlers opened fire with live ammunition on the homes of citizens Firas Othman Musa and Mukhtar Abu Asba.

Media sources added that a young man identified as Mohammad Basil Shehada, suffered unknown injuries to his limbs during the settlers' attack.

Meanwhile, a group of illegal settlers stormed the Bedouin community of Ras Ein 'Al-Auja, north of Jericho, in the northeastern part of the occupied West Bank.

According to Hassan Mleihat, general supervisor of the “Al-Baidar” organization for the defense of the rights of the Bedouins, a group of settlers invaded the community, accompanied by 150 sheep and 30 camels to graze on the lands of Palestinian citizens.

Deir Sharaf

Palestinian television reported that Israeli settlers threw stones at vehicles belonging to Palestinians in the town of Deir-Sharaf, west of Nablus in the northern West Bank.
