Serious crash closes northbound I-69 near Fishers

Indiana State Police officials said northbound I-69 should be back open around 9 p.m. Officials said drivers should still expect delays while traffic clears.

Indiana State Police officials said all southbound I-69 lanes are now open. Northbound I-69 at the 205 mile marker remains closed.

In an update on social media, Indiana State Police officials said northbound I-69 continues to be closed at the 205 mile marker. Southbound I-69 has reopened one lane. Officials said drivers should continue to expect long delays.

Indiana State Police officials said the crash on I-69 closed the highway in both directions at the 205 mile marker.

INDIANAPOLIS — All lanes of northbound I-69 are closed after a serious crash near the 205 mile marker in Hamilton County Monday afternoon, according to Indiana State Police.

Sgt. Indiana State Police Public Information Officer John Perrine said in a social media post that traffic is currently being diverted to NB SR 37 in Fishers.

The message indicated that the accident was serious. The affected portion of I-69 is expected to be closed for an extended period.

In an additional statement from Indiana State Police, officials said drivers should expect long delays on the north and south sides of I-69 near the 205 mile marker . There is no timeline for reopening northbound I-69 at the 205 mile marker.
