Section of I-43 near Capitol closed due to police investigation

MILWAUKEE — TMJ4 is monitoring a breaking news situation near I-43 and the Capitol Thursday afternoon.

WATCH LIVE COVERAGE FROM TMJ4:

Sources tell TMJ4 that one person with a gunshot wound was taken to Frodert and two other people with gunshot wounds were taken to an unknown location.

It is believed that the police were behind the shooting.

Milwaukee Police requested assistance in closing the highway in both directions, according to the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office.
