Second person arrested in fatal stabbing of Herriman

HERRIMAN, Utah — Police have arrested one more person in connection with a stabbing that killed a 16-year-old Wednesday.

According to a probable cause statement, the Herriman Police Department arrested 18-year-old Hunter John Armstrong.

Police said Armstrong and the 16-year-old victim were recruited to help “Keith,” one of the suspects, attack a 17-year-old, E.D.

Keith McClendon, 19, was arrested earlier this week in connection with the stabbing.

Police said Armstrong, Keith and the 16-year-old could be seen on video in the area of the stabbing.

According to witnesses, Armstrong was standing in front of ED's car. This prevented him from fleeing the scene before the attack and allowed Keith and the 16-year-old to attack ED.

As a result of the attack, police said, ED suffered several injuries, including a separated shoulder.

Although Armstrong was not involved in the physical attack, police said his actions were “serious” since the attack resulted in the 16-year-old's death.
