Search underway for missing man in Sevierville, Tennessee

SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — The Sevierville Police Department is searching for Mark Harrington, 60, and a Silver Alert has been issued by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.

Harrington was last seen in the area of ​​Walters State Community College, 1720 Old Newport Highway in Sevierville, around 2:15 p.m. on June 16. According to SPD, he was last seen wearing a green button-down shirt, dark blue jeans and beige pants. shoes. The TBI shared that he is 5'8″, 205 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes.


SPD said he suffered from a medical condition that could impact his ability to return safely without assistance. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call SPD at 865-453-5506 or TBI at 1-800-TBI-FIND.

The Knox County Sheriff's Office assisted in the search using a helicopter. Additionally, the Sevier County EMA has issued a Code Red Alert in the Sevier County area.
