Search continues for missing fishermen and volunteers with boats are sought | Texas

“My brother, he’s 16, still young,” explained Alexis Jaramillo. “He’s a good kid, always trying, a hard worker who helps.”

The boat was found overturned in the water near the 500 block of N. Ocean Drive in the Magnolia Beach area after Friday's storm.

Magnolia Beach Volunteer Fire Chief John Mayne said several boats and helicopters were actively searching.

The U.S. Coast Guard Public Affairs Office, Sector Corpus Christi, confirmed the report that an overdue boat did not return. he was supposed to be back around 10:30. The Corpus Christi command center received a call from Calhoun County about a woman walking on the beach who saw a capsized shrimp boat. Firefighters and firefighters confirmed it was the overdue boat.

Currently, the Coast Guard helicopter and boat are searching along with two Texas Parks and Wildlife Department boats. The Texas Department of Public Safety also has a boat on site, as well as a few volunteer boats. Hunter Hadley's Quest CERT team assists with volunteer efforts. HHD members are currently at Cabana #20 and are asking volunteers to check in there.
