Sean 'Diddy' Combs Dropped by New York Law Firm Amid Allegations

GSM&S has dropped Sean “Diddy” Combs over assault allegations, denying pressure from Lady Gaga.

Powerful Manhattan law firm Grubman, Shire, Meiselas & Sacks (GSM&S) has severed ties with rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs. The firm, which represents many high-profile clients in the music industry, said the decision was made proactively by its partners several months ago, unrelated to outside pressure. “The decision to part ways with Mr. Combs was made proactively by the firm's partners several months ago because they felt it was the right thing to do,” a spokesperson told Page Six .

Contrary to a NewsNation report suggesting that Lady Gaga pressured the company to drop Combs or she would leave, the company denied the claims. “The report that the decision was a result of customer pressure is simply not true,” the spokesperson said. A source close to Lady Gaga also confirmed to Page Six that no such conversation ever took place.

Combs, a GSM&S customer for more than 20 years, faces mounting allegations of sexual assault. The decision to fire him was influenced by these allegations, according to a source familiar with the matter.

Diddy had a close relationship with the firm's legendary lawyer, Allen Grubman, and was known to regularly visit Grubman's Hampton residence before his recent controversies. Reports indicate that the firm feared that the loss of a high-profile client like Lady Gaga could lead to the departure of other high-profile clients. Past and present GSM&S clients include Elton John, Barbra Streisand, Lil Nas X, The Weeknd, Madonna, U2 and Drake.

Combs' reputation suffered significantly as a result of these allegations. Mayor Eric Adams revoked his key to New York after a video leaked showing Combs allegedly assaulting his ex-partner. Combs also recently deleted content from his Instagram account.
