Scottsville man arrested on drug charges

SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. – A Scottsville man is facing multiple drug charges.

According to a uniform citation from the Scottsville Police Department, detectives responded Thursday to a reported illegal activity at a residence off Wilkerson Road.

Police say they made contact with Walter Wilkerson, 53, of Scottsville, who gave written consent to search the home.

During the search, police said Probation and Parole found methamphetamine and glass pipes. When asked about the substance, Wilkerson said it was methamphetamine and that he had smoked that morning.

Police said Wilkerson then said he had more and retrieved a black box containing a large amount of suspected methamphetamine and a digital scale.

Wilkerson said it contained approximately 2 ounces of methamphetamine that he purchased in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

Wilkerson was arrested and transported to the Warren County Detention Center. He is charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, first-offense (2 grams or more of methamphetamine), delivery or manufacturing of drug paraphernalia and being a repeat offender.
