Scotia family commemorates 20 years since teenage girl's disappearance

Craig Frear was 17 when he disappeared in the village of Scotia on June 27, 2004.

Craig Frear was 17 years old when he disappeared in the village of Scotia on June 27, 2004.

Craig, a standout football player at Scotia-Glenville High School, moved out of a friend's apartment at the Cambridge Manor Apartments in Scotia. He was seen walking along the nearby train tracks and then disappeared.

The Frear family has been desperately searching for Craig for 20 years.

Around that time, they also heard different theories, like that Craig wasn't honest, that he was hiding something.

The most recent search for Craig took place in 2021, on land near where he was last seen.

Meanwhile, his brother Matt is heavily involved in the Missing Children's Ride. The group meets for its weekly orientation ride, inviting new riders to join.
There will be a special tribute this Saturday, June 29, for the Frear family.
