Tributes have been paid to two teenagers who were killed in a crash on the A17 in Lincolnshire last week.

Will Ray, 17, and Eddie Shore, 18, were described as “lovely lads” by the headteacher of the school they attended in Sleaford.

Nick Law from Carre's Grammar School said their deaths had “really rocked the whole community”.

The pair died when their car collided with another vehicle at North Rauceby on 20 June.

Two other passengers in the car suffered serious injuries and were taken to the Queen's Medical Center in Nottingham.

Three people in the other car received minor injuries, Lincolnshire Police said.

Mr Law said the school had brought in counselors to help students and staff deal with their grievance.

“Initially it was just absolute shock and then devastation to lose two really popular lads,” he said.

“Also it's the families they've left behind as well and there's two other boys affected by this.”

Mr Law said the pair had planned to go traveling before starting university courses.

“They're part of a tight-knit social group and they're both very selfless guys. They love success for other people,” he said.

“They're very, very connected within the school, but also the wider community as well.

“And that's what's been seen on social media over the weekend, how well connected they were with everyone.”
