School District Assistant Sued for Alleged Sexual Harassment of Students

Two boys allegedly targeted by a Beaumont Unified School District teacher's aide, who she said sent them explicit images and repeatedly harassed them in an attempt to have sex with them, have sued her and the district for emotional distress and neglect, it was announced Monday.

The plaintiffs and their families filed a civil action in Riverside County Superior Court, naming Michele Alejandra Carrillo and BUSD as defendants.

“Parents have the right to send their children to school knowing that they will be educated and not abused,” said the mother of one of the alleged victims. “There have been other cases at Beaumont High School where a female teacher has sexually abused male students. This school and the district should have been very vigilant about this type of behavior, but they were not.”
