Schertz police ID man died at construction site in May

On May 28, police went to the construction site on the northeast side and found a man who was fatally injured. He was identified as Jose Angel Gonzalez-Fuentes of Maracaibo, Venezuela.

Fuentes' family and the Venezuelan consulate have been informed.

The deceased man worked for Yantis Construction at the time of the incident and they cooperated fully with investigators, according to police.

Police said the investigation is still ongoing. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) was also notified because his death occurred at the construction site.
