Schenectady police close McClellan Street after stabbing

SCHENECTADY, ​​N.Y. (NEWS10) — A portion of McClellan Street in Schenectady is closed as police continue to investigate a stabbing.

The stabbing happened shortly after 8 p.m. Wednesday in the 300 block of Furman Street. Police said two men suffered stab wounds. They were taken to Albany Medical Center in stable condition.


Police said a residence on McClellan Street, near Becker Street, is believed to be linked to the stabbing and was surrounded by officers Wednesday night. McClellan Street, between State Street and Becker Street, will be closed for several hours.

The investigation into the stabbing is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call police at (518) 788-6566.
