The Saudi Haj Ministry issued a notice urging pilgrims to take their ID cards with them.

The authority said in a tweet that carrying the pilgrim identity card helps authorities identify unregistered pilgrims.

The tweet also informed people about the different details that a single ID card can provide, namely:

– Information about the leader of the pilgrim group

– The service provider company affiliated with it

– Residence located in the Holy Places

– Personal information of Haj pilgrim

The authority added that this “card is obligatory and must be carried throughout the Haj period”, from the arrival of the pilgrim until his departure.
