SAPD shares details of Saturday night shooting, requests information

SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — The San Angelo Police Department has shed light on a shooting that occurred on the city's north side overnight Saturday, June 1, and is asking for the public's help in investigate this matter. incident.

According to SAPD, officers were dispatched to the 900 block of Shiloh Street at 10 p.m. in reference to a shooting victim.


Law enforcement responded to the scene and located a 17-year-old female with an apparent gunshot wound. Officers provided first aid to the victim, who was then transported to Shannon Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries by the San Angelo Fire Department.

The SAPD Criminal Investigation Division, Drone Team and Crime Scene Division then arrived on scene to assist in the investigation. According to SAPD, the attacker is currently unknown but is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

The shooting remains under active investigation by SAPD. Additional information may be released at a later date.
