SAN ANTONIO — Police say racing may have caused a motorcycle crash just north of downtown near Brackenridge Park Monday evening.

San Antonio Police were dispatched to Broadway at Funston Place around 9:28 p.m. for a report of a motorcycle accident.

Police said a man in his 20s was speeding with two other motorcycles when a driver of a red sedan hit him. The victim walked at least 30 yards and was transported to BAMC in critical condition.

The two other motorcyclists were arrested by the police for racing. A family member of the injured who came to the scene to collect their belongings was also arrested by the police.

The driver of the red sedan was tested for drunkenness, but was released. As of yet, no charges have been filed.

This is a developing story.
