Santa Rosa police identify woman found wandering and disoriented; loved ones informed

An elderly woman who was found disoriented and wandering in Santa Rosa Thursday afternoon has been identified, police said.

Authorities sent out an alert after she was found around 1 p.m. in the 2800 block of Dutton Meadow. Residents did not recognize her and were concerned for her safety, police said.

Shortly before 5 p.m., police said she had been identified and her relatives had been notified.

“The rapid resolution of this case could not have occurred without the help of the community,” Santa Rosa police said in an advisory. “Thank you for calling to give us advice and share this information.”
