San Rafael police arrested the suspected shooter in a shooting that left one victim injured this week.

The 18-year-old suspect turned himself in at the police station Thursday morning and there are no more suspects outstanding in the case, police Lt. Scott Eberle said. A minor considered to be a companion of the shooter was taken into custody on Wednesday.

Both suspects are linked to an incident that began on D Street on May 25. The shooter allegedly got into an argument with a neighbor and shot at a group of people, Eberle said. No one was hit in the shooting, police said.

Eberle reported that two people from the targeted group then got into a car and chased the shooter and his accomplice as they drove away. Authorities said the chase ended when both parties crashed into parked vehicles on B Street. The shooter then fired several rounds, hitting one of the people chasing him, Eberle said. The victim was transported to a local hospital.

Police identified the suspected shooter as Andy Isoias Arevalo of San Rafael. He was arrested on three counts of attempted murder and one count of criminal conspiracy. Arevalo was booked into the Marin County Jail and is being held without bond.
