San Jose police investigate fatal weekend stabbing

San Jose police are investigating the city's 17th homicide this year after a man was fatally stabbed Sunday morning.

The man was found around 11 a.m. near 17th Street and East Santa Clara Street with at least one stab wound. He was pronounced dead on the spot despite life-saving measures taken by police and doctors.

His name has not been released.

Police have not released information about a suspect in this case.
