SANTEE, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) — Two elderly people were found dead inside their home at a senior living facility in Santee Sunday morning, and the San Diego County Sheriff's Department is investigating a possible homicide.

Deputies responded to reports of two adults dead inside their home at a senior living facility located in the 300 block of Lantern Way in Santee at 11:25 a.m.

The two victims, a man and a woman, were dead when police arrived and both appeared to be suffering from head trauma, according to the sheriff's department.

Authorities are hiding the victims' identities until they can inform their families.

Sheriff's homicide investigators are working to gather more information about the circumstances of their deaths and said there are no outstanding suspects or danger to the community.
