Salman Khan firing case: Chargesheet reveals Lawrence Bishnoi gang accused were preparing to buy same weapon used to kill Sidhu Moosewala

In connection with the Salman Khan firing case, Navi Mumbai Police has filed a chargesheet against five arrested members of the infamous Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The latest charges against the accused have revealed chilling details of the plot to assassinate the Sikandar actor. It was reported that the Bishnoi gang was planning to purchase weapons similar to the ones used in the assassination of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala.

Earlier this year, on April 14, multiple bullets were fired at Salman Khan's Bandra residence, Galaxy Apartments. The police are actively working on the case and CCTV footage revealed that the two suspects were wearing caps and carrying backpacks.

A thorough investigation has already been launched into the case. Meanwhile, according to an Indian television report, the Navi Mumbai police have revealed that the accused are preparing to purchase AK-47 rifles, AK-92 rifles and M-16 rifles from Pakistan, along with the Zigana pistol, with which Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala was killed.

Further, according to the report, sources revealed that the police chargesheet mentioned that Bishnoi's gang had announced a contract of Rs 25 lakh to kill the actor.

What was in the charge sheet prepared by Mumbai Police against Lawrence Bishnoi gang members

According to the report by the aforementioned portal, the Mumbai Police chargesheet revealed that they had found around 60-70 individuals who were monitoring Salman's every move. Further, the report states that further investigation suggests that these individuals were monitoring the actor's house in Mumbai, his farmhouse in Panvel and his movements at Film City in Goregaon.

The police further mentioned in the chargesheet that the plan to kill Salman Khan was hatched between August 2023 and April 2024. The police also mentioned that the accused had hired boys below the age of 18 to help in the plot.

According to the report, these minors were following the instructions of Goldy Brar and Lawrence Bishnoi's brother Anmol Bishnoi. The gang was also connected through a WhatsApp group consisting of 15-16 members, of which Goldy and Anmol were also a part.

It is to be noted that the audio recording recovered by the Mumbai Police from one of the suspects arrested in the firing incident matched Anmol's voice. The audio recording from the accused's phone has also been sent to the forensic lab for verification.

Salman Khan's work front

On the professional front, Salman Khan is currently gearing up for AR Murugadoss's Sikandar, co-starring Rashmika Mandanna. According to a report in Mid-day, the actor wrapped up the first schedule on July 1 and will start the second schedule in August 2024.
