Sacramento grass fire threatens nearby structures, officials say

There is a large grass fire in Sacramento threatening nearby structures, firefighters said. The fire, which was first reported around 2:20 p.m., is near Del Paso and El Centro roads, south of the convergence of Interstate 5 and Highway 99. KCRA 3 is working to obtain details on the cause of the fire and the number of threatening structures. Fires are more likely Tuesday due to triple-digit heat and gusty north winds.
