Ryan Grafton identified as victim of Wacol hit-and-run in Brisbane's west

An Uber passenger killed in a hit-and-run in Brisbane has been identified as 30-year-old Ryan Grafton.

Grafton was traveling in a Toyota Camry which collided with a Ford Mondeo at the intersection of Boundary Rd-Progress Rd in Wacol, in the city's west, around 2am on Tuesday.

The driver of the Mondeo fled the scene, leaving mason Grafton for dead.

Emergency services rushed to the scene but he could not be rescued.

His grieving family told 7NEWS they would miss him.

“Ryan was a kind person. He wasn’t perfect but he had the biggest heart,” they said in a statement.

“He was loved by his family and friends.”

A 26-year-old female passenger was taken to hospital in serious but stable condition and the Uber driver also suffered a back injury.

A massive manhunt has been launched for the driver, with police urging him to come forward.

Anyone with information should contact police.

It is unclear whether the Ford involved in the crash was stolen.
