RV fire closes I-17 near Cordes Lakes

There is no estimated time to reopen the northbound lanes, ADOT officials said.

CORDES LAKES, Ariz. — DPS officials closed the northbound lanes of I-17 near Cordes Lakes due to munitions exploding during an RV fire.

“Everyone is out of the vehicle but there are munitions inside that are exploding, so that's why we stopped northbound traffic,” said Bart Graves, DPS media relations specialist.

The situation is at mile marker 261 and ADOT officials said they are unsure when they will reopen the lanes.
