Rochester Police Respond to Nighttime Street Fight; find a stabbed man

Rochester, New York — Rochester police officers were called to Saratoga Avenue shortly after 11 p.m. Friday to respond to a report of people fighting in the street and a man who had been stabbed.

When they arrived, the police discovered a group of fighters in the street. After breaking up the fight, a man in his twenties informed police that he had been stabbed in the upper body.

He was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital, where his injuries were not life-threatening.

There are no suspects in custody. Anyone with information is asked to call 911.
