Rochester man accused of stabbing girlfriend during fight, barricading himself in home

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A man was arrested for allegedly attacking his girlfriend with a knife on Hazelwood Terrace Sunday evening.

Officers with the Rochester Police Department responded to the 200 block of Hazelwood Terrace for a report of a stabbing. According to them, the victim, a 43-year-old woman, suffered a slight puncture to her hand caused by a knife. She was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.


Investigators determined the injury was caused by a fight with her boyfriend, a 49-year-old man. Officers said they entered a barricaded home and arrested the suspect without incident.

The suspect will be charged with second degree assault. No other injuries were reported in the area.
