All eastbound lanes of State Road 408 near Orlando have reopened after a fatal motorcycle crash, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. Authorities arrived at the scene of the crash, near mile marker 23, around 1:30 p.m. The incident resulted in lane closures between Alafaya Trail and East Colonial Drive. According to FHP, a motorcyclist was traveling on SR-408 approaching East Colonial Drive when he lost control. of their bike when taking a turn. The motorcyclist then left the roadway and collided with the guardrail. In the FHP report, a witness described the motorcyclist as “traveling above the posted speed limit and rapidly changing lanes.” FHP said the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
