Police have not publicly identified the other suspect, who was also arrested. He turned himself in, although police did not say what charge(s) he was facing.

The incident occurred on May 31 around 9:25 a.m., when a woman who was checking her bags at the curb lost consciousness and was hospitalized in critical condition. Givens and the other suspect are accused of getting into a road rage-related fight with her, according to the LAPD.

“The two individuals struck the elderly woman, causing her to fall to the ground and lose consciousness,” the LAPD said in a written statement. “Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded and transported the victim to a local hospital, where he was admitted in critical condition. He has since been released from the hospital.”
