TV

Jennifer Aydin and her family witnessed a terrifying moment this weekend when a huge crowd of people dispersed on a boardwalk in Seaside Heights, New Jersey, in fear of a mass shooter in freedom.

“It was chaos on the boardwalk yesterday,” the “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star, 47, captioned a clip of the incident via Instagram on Sunday.

“We're still not sure what happened. But everyone in our camp is safe. If anyone knows what happened, leave it in the comments.

In the video she posted, sirens could be heard blaring while her children appeared worried in the background.

Although Aydin wasn't sure what happened at the time, she wasn't alone as NJ.com reported Sunday that there was a lot of confusion among several other beachgoers in attendance.

According to the local media outlet, crowds “ran from the signs, rushing down the exit ramps into the streets in panic, while officers rushed to the seaside on foot and in cars, guns drawn and trying to find armed men or victims.”

However, police Detective Steve Korman told NJ.com that officers never found evidence that anyone actually fired a gun or that anyone was injured.

It's unclear what exactly sparked the chaos, but videos posted on social media showed people running in all directions while officers armed with massive weapons patrolled the situation.

Less than an hour and a half's drive from where Aydin and his relatives reside — which Page Six confirmed via real estate records — an actual stabbing took place in Ocean City, New Jersey.

According to the New York Post, a 15-year-old boy was attacked with a knife by an unknown suspect on the Ocean City boardwalk. The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital.

After Aydin shared his post, people on social media called out Bravolebrity for purchasing a property in Seaside Heights, which became prominent for being the filming location for the cast of “Jersey Shore.”

“I can't believe you actually bought there…I'm sorry, but what were you thinking?,” one reviewer wrote.

Another added: “Seaside Heights used to be a great family place. Now it's a fucking royal cesspool. Why anyone sits in hours of traffic for this bullshit is beyond me.

Aydin did not respond to the remarks but shared on Sunday via her Instagram Stories that she and her family had decided to “stay home” after all the craziness.

The mother of five concluded: “The kids were a bit upset. We had like a sleepover at home.
