Reward offered for information on MLK Park shooting in Rochester NY

Law enforcement is offering a $5,000 reward for information related to a shooting at Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Park that injured six people early Sunday morning.

Police said they believe a group of people were hanging out in the park overnight when an argument broke out just before 3 a.m. At least one person pulled out a gun, began shooting into the crowd and fled, police said.

Six people aged 17 to 33 were shot and injured. All should survive.

The shooting remains under investigation.

Law enforcement announced Tuesday that it would offer a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the individual or individuals responsible for the shooting. The reward is being offered by the local office of the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, the Rochester Police Department and CrimeStoppers.
