Remains found in Waukegan identified as those of Sade Robinson

MILWAUKEE — Human remains discovered in Illinois last month have been identified as those of Sade Robinson, the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office (MCSO) confirmed Tuesday.

MCSO said the human remains – an arm – were discovered along the shores of a Lake Michigan beach in Waukegan, Illinois, in May.

The Wisconsin Department of Justice's crime lab performed DNA testing on the member to confirm it was Robinson.

Robinson, a 19-year-old Milwaukee woman, was murdered and dismembered in early April. Maxwell Anderson, 33, was reportedly the last person to see Robinson on April 1. He was charged with the murder and dismemberment of Robinson, according to a criminal complaint. In the criminal complaint, officials said that due to the “circumstances surrounding Robinson's disappearance” and “the recovery of the human leg previously identified as Robinson's,” they “concluded” that she was dead .

MCSO said the investigation into Robinson's death is ongoing.
