Registration Open for PSU Abington Kids and Teen College Summer Camps and Programs

Registration is still open for Penn State Abington Kids and Teen College summer programs and camps, which are designed for youth entering grades 3-12 in fall 2024.

“Our Kids and Teens College summer programs provide a balance of high-quality educational content with the social activities expected at summer camps. Many of our programs are developed with our faculty, and Abington students and staff provide additional support in content areas, bringing the campus experience to life,” said Annamarie McKevitt, director of the Summer Youth Program.

McKevitt maintains high standards for hiring instructors for children and youth programs.

“They are certified educators as well as leading professionals in their respective fields, and our instructors are passionate about the content,” McKevitt said.

New camps for 2024 include the Forensic Institute and Page-Turner Paradise, and some returning camps have been adapted to provide younger students with financial literacy and exposure to a variety of artistic mediums. TechCrafters is a popular program, which includes access to Abington’s state-of-the-art MakerSpace, complete with a 3D printer, vinyl cutter/plotter and laser engraver.

Many camps focus on career exploration in STEAM, business, and criminal justice. The full list is available here.

Camps are scheduled for six weeks starting June 26 and ending August 10, with no programming the week of July 3. They will meet Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Discounts are offered when registering for multiple weeks, and daily lunch is available in the campus cafeteria.
