Red Bull Level's Elden Ring event proves we don't need to beat Malenia to be as powerful as her, with a weapon reveal that will make even the worst player happy to play Shadow of the Erdtree

Considered by much of the fandom to have not only the most numbers but also the best weapons, Ancient Ring provides incredible flexibility and freedom for players engaged in combat. Whether it's a strength-focused faith user or an archaeologist and intelligence user, there's something for everyone in the Lands Between.

THE Shadow of the Erdtree will significantly increase the combat options in the game, and these will not be exclusive to DLC areas. We've gotten a sneak peek at some of the new weapon types we can expect, but one particular piece of information should entice many players to jump into the expansion.

Unique weapons in Elden Ring's next DLC are not locked behind bosses

Ancient RingCombat will change dramatically with the DLC.

Boss weapons have been a staple of the Soulsborne series, ever since the release of The souls of demons. These armaments, acquired by defeating bosses, had unique moves and skills. So, in addition to being success markers, they would also help improve a build thanks to their powerful damage.

Ancient Ring, also has special boss weapons that can be unlocked using the memories obtained from defeating each boss. These include the Blasphemous Blade, the Giant's Red Braid, and the Hand of Malenia. Shadow of the Erdtreewho could have more than 10 bossesshould also bring new weapons of Remembrance, but others might be more interesting.

The Red Bull Levels event featured exclusive gameplay and commentary regarding the DLC. In the stream, the player cycles through a few new weapon types, such as the Milday, a light sword, and the Backhand Blade, a scimitar that can be used twice. These are just two of the many weapons we can expect in the eight new categories added by the DLC.

The good thing is that they are not locked behind any boss! Thus, using special skills such as Wing Stance or Blind Spot, both of which offer a similar degree of acrobatic talent as Waterfowl Dance, will only require the player to have the stats necessary to wield the weapon.

Players will have plenty of opportunities to use these new weapons

New threats can be addressed in new ways in the expansion.

The great thing about Hidetaka Miyazaki's titles is that they provide every opportunity to try out new weapons and discover what works best for them. Shadow of the Erdtree doesn't just bring a bunch of new weapons; it is also adding a new power-up system called Scadutree Blessing which will offer attack and defense buffs.

This blessing is only applicable to DLC areas but should help the player eliminate the many new threats we've seen and the countless ones we've yet to encounter. Alongside the armies of Messmer, the antagonist of the DLC, we will also face certain natives of the Land of Shadow.

Shadow of the Erdtree is now less than a week away from release, and everyone is on the edge of their seats to check out Miyazaki's latest project. In addition to a list of new weapons, players will also get answers to many questions they might have regarding Miquella and Marika.

Which weapon are you most excited to try in the DLC? Let us know in the comments below!
