Grossman, 60, was convicted of second-degree murder, vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence and hit-and-run resulting in death for striking and killing Mark Iskander, 11, and his brother Jacob, 8 years old, as they crossed the border. street at a pedestrian crossing with their family.

The jury of nine men and three women returned its verdict on the second day of deliberations, mulling over the evidence for about nine hours in total before rejecting the defense's claim that Grossman's boyfriend, former Dodger Scott Erickson, was the one who killed the boys.
