RCMP discover vehicle involved in suspected kidnapping – Winnipeg Free Press

Saskatchewan RCMP said Saturday they located the vehicle of a woman accused of kidnapping her three children, days after her arrest at a Canada-U.S. border crossing in Manitoba.

The abandoned vehicle was found in Pine Cree Regional Park, located between Shaunavon and Eastend, Saskatchewan.

The white 2018 Mercedes GLC was previously associated with 55-year-old Astrid Schiller.

Schiller and his three missing children: Léon, 12, Christopher, 11, and Thomas, 9, were not in the vehicle and have not been found.

RCMP said an investigation determined Schiller may have last been seen June 19 in the area of ​​Pine Cree Regional Park with her children.

On June 16, Boissevain RCMP were called around 2 a.m. after the mother and her three children showed up at the border while trying to enter the United States.

The boys, reported missing in December, are unhurt. They were immediately taken care of.

Schiller, who was arrested at the time, was wanted by the Durham Regional Police Service in Ontario on three counts of child abduction and a single count of disobeying a court order. court.

Manitoba RCMP said she was later released because the warrant was not extended to that province.

Less than 24 hours after their discovery, Blue Hills RCMP learned the three boys were missing again after being placed in care in Forrest.
