Rapper Tommie Lee arrested outside Club LIV in Miami Beach

MIAMI BEACH, Florida. – A reality television personality and rap artist was arrested early Monday morning outside a Miami Beach nightclub.

Police arrested Atasha Chizaah Jefferson, 39, better known as Tommie Lee, around 2:20 a.m. outside Club LIV, located at 4441 Collins Ave.

Police say officers arrived and found Jefferson being held with her arms behind her back by the victim during the incident.

The victim told police that Jefferson, whom he did not know, suddenly approached him “in close proximity” and tried to put something in his hand, according to an arrest report.

Police said the victim did not take the item and tried to ignore Jefferson, who allegedly became upset and punched the victim in the face.

It was after this physical contact that the victim grabbed Jefferson's arms and held them behind his back until police could arrive, according to an arrest form.

During their investigation, police said they viewed surveillance footage showing the incident, which corroborated the victim's account of what happened.

Jefferson, who previously appeared on “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta,” was arrested on battery charges and taken to jail without incident.
