A deputy investigated a report of a dog bite at a residence west of Moberly.

Deputies responded to Higbee after receiving a report of shots fired. The noise came from fireworks.

Dispatchers notified deputies of an attack in progress in the northeast part of the county. A 40-year-old Moberly resident was arrested for armed criminal action, 1st degree assault and unlawful possession of a firearm.

While patrolling Route J, a deputy found a 35-year-old Jacksonville area resident in a vehicle stuck in a ditch. The Missouri State Highway Patrol assisted. The driver was arrested for drunk driving.

A deputy investigated an assault at the jail.

A traffic stop was conducted with a motor vehicle driven by a 39-year-old Marshall resident for failing to move into his lane.

The driver received a ticket for lack of driving license.

A 40-year-old man from Versailles was stopped on US-63 when a deputy noticed his registration was expired.

He received a summons for failure to register the vehicle.

Deputies opened a child neglect case in the southern part of the county.

A deputy arrested a 38-year-old Kirksville resident for displaying expired license plates.

She received a citation for failing to register her motor vehicle each year.

A 44-year-old Moberly resident was arrested after his unregistered vehicle was seen driving in a ditch.

He was arrested for DWI (misdemeanor), operating a vehicle without a valid license (misdemeanor) and issued citations for failure to drive on the right half of the roadway, failure to maintain financial responsibility (insurance), and possession of another's license plates. Person.

Deputies were dispatched to a residence in Clark for a report of a domestic disturbance. The parties agreed to separate for the evening.

A 49-year-old Parisian was arrested when a deputy noticed an infraction with the registration of his vehicle. The driver admitted he had a suspended license and had no auto insurance. A K9 agency alerted when sniffing open air around the vehicle. A search revealed the vehicle contained methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Deputies were dispatched to a Clark area residence for a report of a violation of a protection order. Subject was arrested for Violation of an Adult Protective Order and Assault – 3rd Degree.

An investigation into dog bites from Renick was carried out.

A deputy assisted Moberly police officers during a domestic dispute. A 25-year-old Moberly resident was arrested for domestic assault.

A disturbance reportedly occurred in a vehicle on road A, near road BB. Deputies responded and conducted an investigation.

A deputy conducted a traffic stop with a 36-year-old Higbee resident after observing his vehicle speeding and leaving his lane multiple times between Higbee and Moberly.

Moberly Police assisted in the investigation and the driver was arrested for DWI. He also received a citation for not having a motorcycle endorsement.

A deputy was asked to contact a Moberly area resident regarding concerns about his neighbor. No criminal activity was observed.

A road accident has been reported on the NN road. A deputy responded and assisted other agencies.

A deputy responded to a call of a person seeking medical assistance in the Clark area. Upon arrival, the caller refused assistance from the deputy and ambulance personnel.

Another agency requested assistance east of Moberly with an investigation involving a juvenile.

Deputies responded to Route DD after receiving a report of a disturbance. Deputies determined no crime had occurred.

A deputy investigated a report of property damage west of Moberly. A suspect has been identified and a probable cause statement has been completed.

Members of the department assisted other agencies on the B Road after being dispatched to a vehicle crash. The driver, a 32-year-old Clark resident, left the scene and was arrested for DWI.

A deputy tried to stop a 44-year-old resident of Mâconnais on US-63, north of Cairo, for not driving in his lane. The vehicle was stopped in Moberly. The driver was issued citations for failure to yield right of way to an emergency vehicle and lane violation.

A deputy responded in Clifton Hill to a report of a dispute between neighbors over a dog. No laws were broken.

Dispatch asked a deputy to contact a county resident who wanted to report that another person had made an obscene gesture while their vehicles passed on the roadway.

Deputies investigated a report of an assault that occurred north of Cairo. The allegation was unfounded.

The Sheriff's Office made a total of 28 field contacts during the week.
