Senior Hamas official Osama Hamdan condemned the Israeli Rafah massacre, saying it was an “attempt for revenge” amid “Israel's” consistent failure against the Palestinian Resistance.

At a press conference, Hamdan held the US administration fully responsible for the Rafah massacre and those across Gaza, saying it denounced fabricated claims by the US and Israel about the existence of zones security in the Gaza Strip.

He further said that the timing of the massacres of the past two days constituted a clear challenge by Netanyahu to the International Court of Justice.

He also criticized Israeli claims that Hamas fighters were present in the refugee camp where “Israel” committed its crime, calling them “insolent”, with images of the camp, located far from any area of operation, and civilian martyrs refuting these allegations. .

Regarding Israeli captives held in Gaza, Hamdan stressed that they would not be returned unless it was on the Resistance's terms, detailed in the proposal presented by the mediators.

The senior Hamas official also praised the victories of the Resistance, from al-Qaasam to the al-Quds Brigades and the rest of the factions, stressing that they exposed the lies of the occupation claiming that it was targeting or dissuaded the Resistance. He also praised the struggles experienced by the resistance fighters on the support fronts.

Addressing the international community, particularly the ICJ, Hamdan demanded that it implement international decisions aimed at sanctioning and punishing the Israeli occupation, while simultaneously urging Egypt to open the Rafah crossing to humanitarian aid deliveries.

Hamdan concluded his statement by calling on Palestinians in the West Bank and territories occupied in 1948 to revolt in order to defend their people in Gaza.

More than 40 Palestinians were killed and dozens injured in the massacre by Israeli occupying forces in Rafah on the night of May 26, Gaza Civil Defense announced today.

The Al Mayadeen correspondent said that it is difficult to determine the definitive number of Palestinians killed by IOF in this massacre, because due to the scale of the explosion, some people lost their lives and others were seriously injured amid a collapse of the health system in the Gaza Strip. .

Our correspondent added that hospitals in Rafah have completely collapsed and people are now dependent on field hospitals which cannot provide the required medical services to injured Palestinians.

Most of those killed in the Rafah massacre were Palestinians displaced from Gaza City and the northern Gaza Strip, he said.
