The Pune police produced the minor's parents, along with two doctors of Sassoon Hospital and a staff member, before the district court.

On Sunday, police told the court that the teenager's blood samples appeared to have been tampered with after their visit to the state-run Sassoon General Hospital in Pune.

The minor's mother was arrested on June 1 after it was discovered that her blood samples had been exchanged with those of her son.

Earlier, the boy's father, a renowned real estate tycoon, was arrested for allegedly hiding evidence related to the incident.

Police say the parents planned and hid evidence related to the car crash. They went to Sassoon Hospital to exchange their son's blood samples, replacing his with his mother's.

In the May 19 accident, the drunk teenager allegedly killed two 24-year-old technicians, Aneesh Awadhiya and Ashwini Koshta.

People who witnessed the incident said the boy was drunk when the incident happened. But because his blood sample had been tampered with, police could not confirm it.

On Wednesday, the Pune police also requested the Juvenile Justice Board (JJB) to extend the custody of the teenager. He resides in an observation house and his custody is expected to end today.

So far, eleven people, including the 17-year-old's father, mother and grandfather, have been arrested in the case.

Investigators say the parents admitted their son was driving the Porsche during the crash. They were arrested by the judicial police. The mother also confessed during investigation that her blood was used to falsify the blood sample report of Sassoon General Hospital, police said earlier.

The father, who was already in custody for being involved in the driver's kidnapping, was arrested along with the teenager's grandfather.

Three people from Sassoon General Hospital, including the head of the forensic department, a former emergency room doctor and a morgue staff member, were arrested for tampering with the minor's blood samples.

The 17-year-old was lightly released by the juvenile board immediately after the May 19 accident. However, once the incident became a national issue inciting outrage, he was taken into custody again.
