Pune car accident: Teen's mother blames doctors, minor admits he was drunk

The accused in the Porsche car accident case in Pune that killed two IT professionals on May 19, a minor boy, has finally admitted that he was intoxicated. His parents, Shivani Agarwal and Vishal Agarwal, were produced in court on Sunday where the investigating officer informed the court that the parents of the 17-year-old accused had tried to protect the child and blood samples of the mother had been taken instead. of the accused. Shivani, in a statement to the police, said doctors asked her to give blood samples.

“We have recorded the statement of the woman (49). She told us that doctors at the hospital told her to give her blood as a sample instead of her son's. She pretended not to know why the doctors had told her this,” a Times of India report quoted Pune Commissioner of Police (CP) Amitesh Kumar as saying.

On May 19, the drunken 17-year-old boy killed two IT professionals after crashing his Porsche car in Pune's Kalyani Nagar area while the two were riding a motorcycle. The boy did not have a valid license. The police have registered three separate FIRs in connection with the case – one regarding the accident, the second against the bar for serving liquor to the minor and the third for the confinement of the accused's relatives on the family driver who will assume responsibility. for the accident.
