BRONX, NY—The New York City Police Department is asking for the public's help in locating 15-year-old D'Asia Jones-Bedgood, who was reported missing from her Anderson Avenue residence in the 44th Precinct. She was last seen on Friday, June 28, 2024, at approximately 8:30 a.m., leaving her home.

D'Asia is described as a black female, approximately 5'5″, weighing approximately 140 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a black shirt, blue shorts, black shoes and a brown hooded sweatshirt.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact the New York City Police Department to assist in his safe return.

Trenton man charged in fatal shooting

TRENTON, New Jersey—The Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office announced the arrest of Divon Ray, a 24-year-old Trenton resident, in connection with a fatal shooting. Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri said the combined efforts of the Mercer County Homicide Task Force (MCHTF) and the Trenton Shooting Response Team led to the charges.

Ray is charged with first-degree murder in the death of 30-year-old Samier Vincent, as well as eight counts of attempted first-degree murder and various weapons offenses. Authorities apprehended Ray in Trenton last Wednesday and a motion has been filed to remand him in custody pending trial.

The incident occurred shortly after 8 p.m. on Sunday, June 23, 2024, when Trenton Police received a report from Shot Spotter of gunshots in the 100 block of Walnut Avenue. Responding officers found four adults suffering from gunshot wounds. All victims were rushed to Capital Health Regional Medical Center. Vincent, who suffered a serious gunshot wound to the head and neck, succumbed to his injuries on June 27. Two other victims were treated and released, while a 29-year-old woman remains hospitalized in serious condition.

Deadly attack at Times Square hotel leaves one dead

NEW YORK, NY—A tragic incident at the Riu Hotel in Times Square resulted in the death of 53-year-old Efrain Patino Guerra. The incident occurred on Monday, June 17, 2024, when officers from the Times Square Unit responded to a 911 call reporting an assault at 145 West 47th Street in Midtown North.

Upon arrival, officers learned that Patino Guerra, residing at 40-35 Hampton Street in Queens, New York, had already been transported to NYC Health and Hospitals/Bellevue in critical condition.

He had been punched in the face by an unidentified man, causing him to fall and sustain serious injuries.

Ten days later, he died in hospital from his injuries.

At this time, no arrests have been made and the investigation into the assault is ongoing. The NYPD is urging anyone with information to come forward to help solve this case.
