PSP arrests former adoptive parent for alleged child rape

LANCASTER, Pa. (WHTM) — Pennsylvania State Police have arrested a Lancaster County man in connection with alleged child sexual assault crimes that occurred between 2004 and 2016.

According to PSP, Frank Breneman, 71, of Lititz, was charged Wednesday, June 5, with rape of a child, involuntary sexual intercourse, sexual assault, statutory sexual assault and indecent assault of a child.


These charges involve two alleged victims and occurred when they were between the ages of 4 and 11.

During their investigation, PSP says they identified an additional victim who recounted similar experiences with Breneman. Some of the victims were former foster children of Breneman and were allegedly abused while living in his home.

Breneman was arraigned and remanded to the Lancaster County Jail in lieu of bail.
