Princeton victim identified | News

The victim of a June 15 shooting near Princeton has been identified by RCMP as 51-year-old Donald (“Donnie”) Lyons.

“Although the investigation is in its early stages, police believe the shooting was targeted,” said Staff Sergeant Jason Smart, South District MCU i/c NCO. Is in a press release. “There is no risk to public safety at this time.”

The RCMP is asking for the public's help.

Anyone who was driving along Princeton Summerland Road between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. on June 15 and has dash cam footage or observed anything suspicious is asked to contact the Homicide Unit's tip line majors of the South-East district at 1-877-987-8477 or to call Bouchons anonymously.
