In September, Eugenie opened up on the Global GoalsCast podcast about her desire to make a change and how a trip to India with Julia and her mother, Sarah Ferguson, in 2013 opened her eyes to slavery modern. She said: “Being best friends. Jules and I went with my mother to visit Calcutta, India in 2013 and we met this amazing woman called Inaudible who started the Interlink Foundation for Women and is working to bring out the girls and women trafficked from the street and teaches them a professional skill such as fabric printing, making amazing handbags, scarves and dresses and just plain beautiful products. me, it was the first time we really saw what modern slavery and human trafficking was and what it really is in the modern era.”

Kind-hearted Eugénie supports many causes and is also passionate about saving the environment. Alongside other well-known faces including Kate Moss and Sienna Miller, Eugenie took part in Sky Ocean Rescue and Project 0's #PassOnPlastic collection. The princess illustrated the design for a limited edition bag, which was based on earth and on which were written the words “Built for life, to make an impact, healthy ecosystems, to inspire change”.
