Update:

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — District Attorney Steve Mulroy will hold a news conference to discuss a teenager accused of murder who is believed to be on the run.

The press conference will focus on developments in the situation of missing teenager Damarion Tackett. He has reportedly been missing for a week now.

Last week, Tacket was released from jail on $100,000 bail when he failed to appear at a later court date in connection with the shooting death of local “watermelon man” John Materna.

The 16-year-old has been charged with aggravated robbery, carjacking and illegal possession of a firearm.

Tackett is also charged with first-degree murder. However, that case has not yet been brought before a grand jury because some documents are still incomplete.

WREG will be at the news conference. We will update this story as updates become available.
