Police are investigating the disappearance of a pregnant Texas teenager who was scheduled to undergo induced labor but never showed up for her appointment.

Savanah Nicole Soto, 18, was reported missing by her family, the Leon Valley Police Department wrote on Facebook Tuesday.

The Texas Department of Public Safety issued a CLEAR alert for Soto, who was described as 5 feet 1 inch tall, with brown hair and eyes. She may be in a gray 2013 Kia Optima with a temporary Texas license plate, the agency reported.

According to KENS5, the teen was last seen leaving her home in Leon Valley around 2 p.m. Friday. Her family became concerned when she didn't show up for her induction that evening.

The teen has since “past her due date” and “caused serious concern among her family members after missing an essential medical appointment,” police wrote.

“I pray to God every day, every minute, every second of the day, we pray to God to bring her home, to bring her home safe because we need her, to complete our family again ” Soto's grandmother, Rachel Soto, told KENS5.

“She was thrilled and excited to be a mom,” Rachel Soto said. “She had everything ready for her little boy.”

Soto's family says she also hasn't been able to reach her boyfriend. “This is not normal, something is wrong here,” Rachel Soto said, according to KENS5. “I want answers, we all want answers.”

Police said detectives and officers are “actively investigating and seeking additional witnesses and information.” We are extremely concerned about the well-being of Savannah Nicole Soto.
