Porsche crash: falsified video surveillance images, tape recovered from grandfather's house: prosecution

Pune: A Porsche car allegedly driven by a teenager who police said was drunk at the time killed two motorcycle-riding software engineers – Anish Awadhiya and Ashwini Koshta – at Kalyani Nagar in the city in the early hours of Sunday May 19. On Friday (May 24), a local court in Pune remanded six accused arrested in the case, including the teenager's father, Vishal Agarwal, to judicial custody. The 17-year-old boy was granted bail on the evening of the incident, which was revoked. He was detained in an observation house until June 5.

The teenager's grandfather, Surendra Kumar Agarwal, who has underworld connections, was arrested on Friday (May 24). He was remanded in police custody until May 28.

Pune Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar said an attempt was made to establish that the Porsche car that ran over and killed two people in Kalyani Nagar was not driven by the teenager, and that the driver employed by his family had tried to take responsibility for the crime after being threatened. by the teenager's father and grandfather. Two Pune police officers were suspended on May 24 for lapses committed during the investigation into the Porsche accident.
