Porsche case in Pune: Father of accused teenager released on bail

The incident was reported on May 18 in Kalyaninagar, Pune, when a minor was driving a Porsche car, under the influence of alcohol. Later, the minor's father was arrested for allowing the minor to drive a car under the influence of alcohol. He was granted bail on a bond of 15,000.

The court also granted bail to other staff members including Cosie Pub owner Naman Bhutada's son, manager Sachin Katkar, Blak Pub assistant manager Sandeep Sangale, counter manager Jayesh Gaokar and l employee Nitesh Shevani. They were arrested by the Pune City Police under sections 3,5,191 (A) of the Motor Vehicles Act and sections 75 and 77 of the Juvenile Justice Act.

The father of the accused teenager is in custody for tampering with blood samples, while the grandfather is in custody following his arrest for allegedly kidnapping the family driver in order to force him to take responsibility of the crime in the name of his minor grandson. .

The accused were released on bail after hearing arguments from both sides, as confirmed by Special Judge SR Salunkhe.

The Pune sessions court had heard the arguments 10 days ago and granted bail on Friday.

Lawyer Prashant Patil, who represented the father of the accused, said, “My client has been granted bail by the Pune magistrate court. It is his duty to comply with the conditions imposed by the Court and will continue to cooperate with the investigating agency.
