Doctors who conducted the medical examination of the minor accused in the Pune Porsche car accident had assured the family of their “full cooperation”. They allegedly accepted a bribe of Rs 3 lakh from the family and altered the blood sample of the accused, and as a result no traces of alcohol were found in his blood. They also gave a clean chit to the accused saying that there were no injuries on his body, completely ignoring the fact that he was beaten by the mob after the accident and that he was not There's no way he's not hurt.

Pune: Doctors involved in conducting the medical examination of the minor involved in the Pune Porsche car accident are also under the scanner. Two of the doctors and one assistant/peon are already in the custody of the investigators handling the case. According to reports, the doctors accepted bribes not only to alter the blood sample of the accused, but also assured the family that they would not face any problem regarding medical examinations .

Accused teen gets clean bill from doctors

Doctors currently in custody assured the father and grandfather of the accused minor of their full cooperation. The family allegedly paid them Rs 3 lakh for their help. Additionally, they also gave a clean score to the minor after the medical examination.

The teenager was rushed to the hospital on the morning of May 19 after an FIR was lodged against him. Doctors had said that the minor was not drunk and there were no injury marks on his body resulting from the accident. Whereas the reality was that the accused was beaten by the public shortly after the accident and this should have been revealed during the medical examination.

Doctors in custody

The Pune crime branch has arrested the 2 doctors involved in the medical examination of the minor accused in this case. They were identified as Dr Ajay Tawade and Dr Hari Halnor of Sasoon Hospital. Apart from these two, the police also arrested Atul Ghatkamble, a hospital employee who acted as an intermediary between the doctors and the family.

It was Ghatkamble who collected the bribe money (Rs 3 lakh) from the family for the doctors. After the bribe was paid, the samples were exchanged by CMO Srihari Halnor on the instructions of Ajay Tawade, head of the forensic medicine department of Sassoon Hospital. The doctors were accused of destruction of evidence because they threw the accused minor's blood sample in the trash, replaced it with someone else's sample and sent it to the forensic laboratory . No trace of alcohol was therefore detected in his blood.

The miner driving a Porsche car hit 2 IT professionals on a motorcycle, killing them both. While one of them died instantly, another succumbed to his injuries in hospital. The car was traveling at 200 kilometers per hour, according to reports, and the boy behind the wheel was very drunk.
