Porsche accident in Pune: Social media influencer accused of making 'fake videos' of accused teenager | Latest news India

Pune police on Saturday registered a first information report (FIR) against a social media influencer for allegedly making a fake video of the teenager boasting about the May 19 Porsche accident that killed two software engineers , reported PTI.

The Porsche, allegedly driven by a 17-year-old who police say was drunk, killed two motorcycle engineers, Aneesh Awadhiya and Ashwini Koshta.

The video then went viral on social media. The Pune Police Cyber ​​Cell said the case was registered against the creator of the reel under sections 509, 294 B of the IPC and 67 of the IT Act. The Porsche, allegedly driven by a 17-year-old teenager, who the police said was drunk, killed two motorcycle engineers Aneesh Awadhiya and Ashwini Koshta in Pune's Kalyani Nagar area in the wee hours of May 19. On Friday, a local court remanded all six accused arrested in the case, including the teenager's father, Vishal. Agarwal, in police custody until June 7. The parents of the two IT professionals, based in Madhya Pradesh, have demanded that the Supreme Court monitor the investigation and the trial be held in their state. On Saturday, Pune Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar said the teenager's family had forced the driver to accept blame. “He was pressured to give his statement to the police as instructed,” he said. The driver was offered gifts and cash and then threatened to take responsibility, a senior police official said.

The family's driver said he was not driving the car at the time of the accident and that the teenager's relatives were using pressure tactics to push him to take responsibility for the accident.(With PTI, ANI inputs)
